The developers of Counter-Strike 2 have officially announced the release of a major patch next week – it will include a new Premier season, changes to the mappula, as well as updates to some weapons. The main points from the announcement from Valve:
- the second season of Premier starts next week;
- all players who had a rating in the first season will receive a commemorative medal of the first season, as well as a special menu with statistics for the season.;
- before the start of the second season, there will be one day of the offseason when the player ratings will be recalibrated based on the results of the first season. To get a rating in the second season, you will need to play 10 calibration matches.;
In the second season, Premier Train will replace Vertigo.;
- prices for M4A4 and FAMAS will be reduced, and FAMAS will receive improved shooting accuracy in standing and squatting positions.;
The second season will end after the Austin Major, and eligible players will be awarded a commemorative medal for their performance during the season. The color of the medal will correspond to the highest rating achieved during the season, and the stripes will reflect the total number of wins (one stripe for every 25 wins, a maximum of five stripes);
in order to receive a medal for the second season, you will need a good account, 25 Premier wins and an active rating at the end of the season.
Recall that the first Premier season in Counter-Strike 2 started with the release of the game, that is, about a year and a half ago. The second season will end immediately after BLAST.TV Austin Major 2025, which is scheduled for June 9-22, 2025.
